First Time For (Almost) Everyone (18 Mar)

That evening was marked by many first timers. Let's dive straight into the chapter meeting and see how well the first timers did. Yung Chin (above) was Sergent At Arms (SAA) for the first time. He did a great job in facilitating the activity. Katie, on the other hand, also a first timer for Toastmaster of Evening (also known as Emcee for the night) had done it brilliantly in introducing the respective speakers, evaluators and appointment holders. Despite being her first time, she spoke confidently and naturally. Our President, Alvin, was not around for the evening. Vanessa, our Vice-President Education took over as acting Club President for the night. She gave an inspirational opening speech about her experience in the contest and how members should take advantage to learn from the usual chapter meetings. It's been 3 months since the last update, much apologies for that. During this period, we still continue to meet up every first and third Tuesday of the month . We are certainly proud that evening that our members are slowly returning after their hectic work schedule. We had a great crowd of members that evening! That evening was Bernard's first attempt as SAA & TME (aka emcee for the night). He did a fine job breaking the ice for the new members and facilitated the evening's program with ease and confidence despite being the first time. Kudos for the preparations!
